Equipment Improvement Technician

Mission

The Equipment Improvement Technician duties will be to conceptualize and implement mechanical and electrical solutions in order to ensure the desired results, as well as to increase the efficiency and longevity of the current and to be acquired production equipment: punch press, benders, spot welders, paint line and much more.

• Analysis of current equipment.
• Recommendations for equipment improvements.
• Paperwork for documenting processes.
• Drafting of mechanical and electrical solutions.
• Disassembly, gathering of information, troubleshooting and assembly.
• Equipment and tool installations, connections, alignments and start-ups.
• Order of equipment parts.
• Other related tasks, as needed.

Position Summary

Alfa Mega is currently looking for an Equipment Improvement Technician who has more than 4 years of experience in
industrial mechanics.
• 40 hours work week
• Flexible day shift, occasionally evening shifts on demand
• Salary based on experience
• Tool kit provided

Profile

• Attestation of college studies (AEC) / Diploma of college studies (DEC) in mechanical / industrial engineering
or
• Diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in electromechanics / industrial mechanics
• Mechanical and electrical experience
• Experience with Excel
• Experience with SolidWorks is an asset (training could be provided if needed)

This position requires for a bilingual (French and English), creative and flexible applicant. Alfa Mega seeks for a good communicator who has a developed problem-solving approach. The Equipment Improvement Technician must be a “take-charge”, organized and creative person.
